1. Safety
Every participant is bound by the four universal firearm safety rules at all times during training. These rules are briefed at the start of every course and are non-negotiable. A single deliberate or grossly negligent safety violation may result in immediate, irreversible removal from the course without refund.
Range commands from the lead instructor are absolute. Hesitation or non-compliance is treated as a safety incident and will be addressed immediately.
2. Legal status and firearms law
Training is conducted in accordance with the Polish Firearms and Ammunition Act (Ustawa z dnia 21 maja 1999 r. o broni i amunicji, Dz.U. 1999 Nr 53 poz. 549 with amendments). Each participant is responsible for ensuring they hold the legal right to handle the type of firearm used during the course, whether as the holder of a valid Polish firearms permit (pozwolenie na broń), a licensed law enforcement officer, a foreign national exercising reciprocal rights in Poland, or a participant using HRT-provided firearms under instructor supervision on a licensed range.
Participants must be at least 18 years old to take part in any live-fire activity. HRT reserves the right to request proof of legal entitlement before the course begins. False declarations constitute breach of contract and terminate the reservation without refund.
3. Fitness and substances
Participants must be physically and mentally fit to participate in live-fire tactical training. Presence under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs or any medication that impairs judgement, reaction time or motor coordination will result in immediate exclusion from all live-fire activity for that day, without refund.
Any medical condition that may affect safety on the range — including but not limited to epilepsy, uncontrolled cardiovascular conditions, acute psychiatric conditions, recent surgery, or injuries affecting physical control — must be disclosed confidentially to the lead instructor before the start of training. Disclosure is made in confidence and is used solely for safety planning.
4. Equipment
Participants bringing personal firearms are solely responsible for their legal ownership, valid documentation, serviceability and safe condition. Equipment must be presented for a safety check at the start of the course.
The lead instructor may exclude any equipment assessed as unsafe, defective, or unsuitable for the specific course at their sole discretion. No refund is issued on that basis; participants may use HRT-provided firearms where available, subject to additional agreement.
5. Imagery and confidentiality
Photography and video recording by participants is permitted only with the explicit advance consent of the instructor and any participants who would appear in frame. Where consent is not given, recording must immediately cease.
For closed law enforcement, government or private unit programs: all photography, video recording and social media posting are strictly prohibited unless expressly authorised in the program contract.
Participants must not disclose the identity of other participants, their unit affiliations, or course content classified as confidential in the program contract.
6. Insurance
Participants are required to hold, or to confirm in writing that they accept participation without, a personal accident (NNW) insurance policy covering live-fire training activities. Range third-party liability insurance, where mandated by Polish range regulations, is included in the course fee. HRT's liability for personal injury caused by the participant's own actions or negligence is excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in this section limits HRT's liability for injury caused by HRT's own gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
7. Assumption of risk and liability
Live-fire tactical training involves inherent risks that cannot be entirely eliminated. By booking and attending a course, each participant acknowledges the existence of these risks and accepts responsibility for their own conduct on the range.
HRT's total liability for property damage or consequential losses shall not exceed the course fee paid. HRT's liability for personal injury or death caused by its own gross negligence or wilful misconduct is not limited (Art. 473 § 2 Kodeks cywilny). This clause does not affect the statutory rights of consumers.
8. Course conduct
Respectful, professional conduct toward all participants, the instructor and range staff is mandatory. Behaviour deemed disrespectful, threatening or discriminatory by the lead instructor may result in removal from the course. Where removal is due to a participant's own conduct, no refund is issued. Dispute resolution may be requested in writing to info.highrisktactics@gmail.com within 14 days.
9. Participant acknowledgement
Attendance at an HRT course constitutes acknowledgement that the participant has read, understood and agrees to these Training Regulations. For group and LE bookings, the signing authority of the contracting entity confirms agreement on behalf of all attending participants.
These regulations are provided for transparency and do not constitute legal advice. Questions: info.highrisktactics@gmail.com
